WHO ARE THE CONDORS?
Trained at The Arts Institute at Bournemouth (now The Arts University College at Bournemouth), Flock of Condors is a quartet of like-minded, high concept filmmakers who together are pushing the limits of xindependent film.
Drawing on their wealth of professional experience and natural talent, with skills ranging from conceptualisation and pre-production through to cinematography and visual effects, The Condors are an increasingly self-sufficient film making collective.
Embracing their close, shorthand dynamic, The Condors engage passionately and enthusiastically in all their productions. Since their creation in early 2010, they have seen projects screened at the Cannes Short Corner, shortlisted for the Sci-Fi London 48hr Film Challenge, and had two music videos broadcast on MTV and NME.
The Condors are constantly developing, producing, and releasing new projects, full details of which can be found on this website.

ADAM AZMY
[Director / DoP / Compositor / Editor ]
Adam's strength as a director is cemented in his never-ending curiosity to learn all aspects of film production. Whilst still in high school, Adam attended degree level engineering classes which would later aid him in designing and building his own camera equipment.
Later, at university, Adam dedicated himself to dividing his time between his own directorial pursuits and taking on key roles in various other productions. Driven by his interest in post production, Adam began teaching himself compositing and following his graduation in 2008 was hired by Oscar winning visual effects company, Framestore.
Undoubtedly, it's Adam's keen eye for visual artistry that has led to his contributions to recently completed high-profile feature films including Steven Spielberg's War Horse and Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Adam was also a part of the ground breaking special effects teams that brought James Cameron’s Avatar to life.
When Adam is not directing for the Condors, he enjoys contributing his breadth of experience to their many productions, moonlighting as director of photography and providing post production services.
2012 will see the release of Jolly, Adam's third Condor short.

STEPHEN TRUMBLE
[Concept Artist / Writer / Director]
Whilst at university, Stephen dedicated much of his time to developing his craft as a writer and storyboard artist. When he wasn't hard at work writing and directing his own short films, Stephen lent his talents to other productions by providing much needed storyboards and concept artwork.
Spring-boarding from his successes at university, Stephen has thrown himself into the creative industries as an artist for hire. Harnessing his artistic and compositional talents, he has provided storyboards and conceptual artwork for numerous feature films, motion comics, and broadcast commercials, working closely with international clients such as O2, Zurich Insurance, and Vodafone.
With a penchant for witty dialogue and thought-provoking characters, Stephen’s third Condor short, Nudist Beach, is set to enter the festival circuit in 2012.
In the meantime, Stephen is hard at work developing several feature scripts and planning a number of future short film projects.
CALUM CARPENTER
[Assistant Director / Art Director]
A chance opportunity during the second year of his degree lead Calum away from Editing and towards discovering his passion for Assistant Directing.
After graduating, 2009 saw Calum employed by his former university as the Production Coordinator for their Film Department. He then moved on to a similar role with The Media Bus, coordinating a number of student and youth orientated productions on a nationwide scale.
As a Runner, Calum has brought his considerable tea making talents to numerous productions including Law & Order: UK, The History Channel's The People Speak, and Diddy Movies for CBBC. He has also assisted in the Art Departments of feature films Dimensions and Mercenaries, and on television's Waking The Dead.
Calum’s logical approach and calm authority has allowed him to Assistant Direct shorts for both the LFS and NFTS, as well as a number of independent production companies, including a Frank Turner music video for Bristol based Scubaboy inc.
DAVID TRUMBLE
[Writer / Director / Producer]
David’s work as a director is heavily influenced by his background in writing and illustration. In 2003, at the age of 16, he authored and illustrated the graphic novel Climate: A Cinematic Novel In Three Parts, which won the Dan Hemingway Prize for creativity, and was subsequently published by The Blake Project.
Two years later David began his undergraduate studies in Film Production, which culminated with his graduation film, Eva, being awarded Best Student Film at the 2008 Newport International Film Festival.
Prior to his work with the Condors, David spent two years penning political cartoons for The Sun and his 2009 short, The Shift, has been screened at numerous international film festivals.
As a member of the Condors, David has helmed the upcoming web-series, Temp, as well as the team’s music video commissions.
2012 will see David return to his short film roots.
